After a short drive and a lift or walk to the launch meadow, your pilot fits you into the tandem harness and briefs the run-off. A few steps down the slope and you are airborne, with nothing to do but sit back and watch Bohinj open up beneath you.
The flight lasts fifteen to twenty-five minutes depending on the air, silent over the lake and the surrounding peaks of Triglav National Park. Your pilot flies smoothly by default and will add a few turns only if you ask.
A GoPro records the whole flight so you keep the memory, and after landing there is a hot drink at a local mountain hut before the trip back. No experience is needed, just a willingness to run a few steps off a hill.
