The day begins gently at the Zelenci nature reserve, where the Sava Dolinka rises out of the ground in a pool so clear it looks lit from below. From there your guide drives you up and over the Vršič Pass, the highest road in Slovenia, stopping at the viewpoints that make the climb worth it.
On the far side you reach the Soča, the river that gives the trip its name. You walk in to hidden spots away from the road, swim in the emerald pools, and eat lunch by the water. For anyone who wants more, there is an optional white-water raft on the Soča to finish.
It is a moderate day suited to average fitness, with certified local guides who have run this country since 2004. All of your photos from the day are included, and you are picked up and dropped back at your accommodation in Bled.
